Matthew Dawes

I am a post-doc in Professor Daniel Huybrechtscomplex geometry group. My research interests include hyperkaehler manifolds and their moduli, compactifications of locally symmetric varieties, and modular forms.

Before I arrived in Bonn, I was a Riemann fellow in Hannover and prior to that I was a PhD student at the University of Bath (where my supervisor was Professor Gregory Sankaran). I was an undergraduate at Lincoln College, Oxford.

  • On the Kodaira dimension of the moduli of deformation generalised Kummer varieties (arXiv:1710.1672)

  • Boundary combinatorics of orthogonal modular 4-folds (arXiv:1604.00726)

  • Moduli of deformation generalised Kummer manifolds (PhD thesis, University of Bath)
